Welcome to the home of the City Divas

The Urban Sports Group is a completely volunteer organization with a mission of promoting fast-pitch softball in the inner city. USG programs provide opportunities for participation in highly spirited clinics, recreational leagues and travel ball.

USG focuses on a structured, enjoyable experience for our players. We develop the whole student-athlete, developing the players’ athletic skill sets along with their self-esteem. We support our athletes building their confidence to face their challenges and fears about softball.

USG currently has a 10 and under (players 8-10 born after Jan. 1) travel team and a 12 and under (players 10-13 born after Jan. 1) group.

Our 14 and under (players 12 – 15 born after Jan. 1.) and 18 and under (players 15-19 born after Jan. 1) RBI leagues are sanctioned by major league baseball. Our 14u league will begin in May and our 18u league will begin in June, some league players are selected for our travel teams.

Travel teams begin competition in late June, competing throughout the five boroughs, Westchester, Long Island, and Upstate NY. Our 12u, 14u, and 16u travel teams compete in the nationally recognized Babe Ruth tournament every year.

Clinics are offered from November –March, 2 days / 4.5 hours a week. Experience what it feels like to be a “DIVA”! A Player with the Attitude to Match!
